A dream vacation wedding has been “ruined” after a catalog of mistakes leaving the groom wanting the world to swallow him up.
Martin and Tina Feuz had at heart a warm and stress-free wedding on the beach in Cyprus with around 40 of their closest friends and family.
The luxury wedding in October 2019 cost them £ 25,750 which included a spectacular wedding reception on a catamaran around the island.

They booked with Tui who organized a wedding planner to help organize the food on the mini cruise around the island, the snorkeling and the fireworks.
Speaking on Channel Five’s When Luxury Holidays Go Horribly Wrong, Tina said they asked what would happen if the weather changed and she said Tui’s rep said there was a “plan B” and that there was no need to worry.
If the weather was bad they would have their reception on a catamaran in the harbor and still have fireworks and snorkelling.
Sadly, dark clouds arrived, but it wasn’t until the morning of the wedding that it sparked a series of problems for the couple.
It had started with the hairdresser who Tina said was rude to her and didn’t put her hair in a style she liked and then was offered the wrong bouquet.
But things got worse, said Martin: “I was at the reception to greet the guests and Tui came over and told me the catamaran had been canceled.

“The first thing that came to my mind is what do I say to Tina
“After speaking with my witness, I decided not to tell her about it until the end of the ceremony – I didn’t want to ruin this special moment, it was already ruined for me.
“So I had in mind that at some point I had to tell my future wife that the highlight of the day had been canceled. I didn’t want to hurt Tina like I was in pain, I didn’t want to being the one who had to say ‘let’s go, it’s canceled’ I didn’t want to be that person ruining their favorite day.
“I didn’t want to be the person to say ‘your dreams won’t come true, your special day is wasted, that’s it, it’s over before it starts’.
At the last minute, a hotel was found that could accommodate the bride and groom and all their guests.
Martin said, “Basically I took the only option I was given, which was to go to this other hotel and restaurant.”
But there were more issues when the wrong song was played because Tina was about to make her way down the aisle and had to be stopped twice.
At the time of the wedding photos, the photographer kept asking Martin to smile and be happy, which was difficult for him as he had yet to break the news of the reception to Tina.
Martin said: “In a lot of the photos I don’t smile, panic and try not to show it.”
But his new wife took the news well and decided to make the most of their special day so that all the wedding guests got on the bus to transport them to the new location.
Tina said: “All of a sudden there was a really loud bang and the bus shook and fell – the bus had broken down.”
The whole wedding party then had to go out and make it to the wedding breakfast where they found out the drinks package had not been sorted and no one could get their hands on a glass of champagne to toast to the new couple.
Martin said: “I just thought, ‘What else can go wrong? What else is going to happen now?’
“This day that I had been planning for nine months – it just broke me, everything that could go wrong had gone wrong.
“I just went to the bathroom and put my head in my hands and just wanted the world to swallow me.”
A spokesperson for Tui said, “We are so sorry to hear about Mr. and Mrs. Fuez’s experience on what should have been a very special day.
“We will be in direct contact with the client to apologize and offer them a gesture of goodwill.”
Tina added, “It’s not about the money, it’s about making sure other people don’t have to get through the day we’ve been through.”
Martin said: “We chose Tui because the brochure looked good, the wording was good, they said they would make your dreams come true, all they did was make my nightmares come true. “
