The catalog for the first Tattersalls May National Hunt Sale has been released and includes 52 youngsters in the horse section of the store and three initial entries for the horse-in-training and point-to-point segments, which remain open for entry until Monday, May 23.

Baroda Stud consigns three horses to training as part of the Ann and Alan Potts fire stock dispersal. The trio are led by Sizing Pottsie, an eight-year-old son of Kapgarde who won the Year 2 Webster Cup Chase at Navan in March for Jessica Harrington.

Harrington also trains Sizing Mauritius, a five-year-old Martaline gelding who won a first Kilbeggan hurdle last week, and is joined in the sale by his half-brother Walk In The Park, a year younger.

There are four two-year-olds and 38 three-year-olds cataloged for the horse section of the store and the older group includes a Getaway filly out of Mae’s Choice, Grade 3 Punchestown Mares’ Hurdle winner, consigned by Castledillon Stud.

WH Bloodstock offers a Kapgarde gelding out of Omessa Has, which has placed four times in a listed company in France, and Steve Lloyd entrusts a Walk In The Park gelding out of Prospero Belle, a half-sister of the King’s Theater of Monalee, Grade 1 winner.

Edmond Mahony, Chairman of Tattersalls, said: “We are delighted with the response to the new Tattersalls May National Hunt Sale, which will take place at our Newmarket base.

“Park Paddocks has proven to be an exceptional location for successful National Hunt sales and to have the three top class lots of partial dispersal Ann and Alan Potts, in addition to over 50 quality shop horses, is a real vote of confidence in this new Tattersalls National Hunt game.

“We are accepting listings for pointers and horses in training and the catalog appears to have much to offer a wide range of buyers.”

The sale will take place on Thursday, May 26 from 11 a.m. with pointers and horses in training.
