Nufarm renews sponsorship of GreenCare for Troops


Nufarm, Alsip, Illinois, announced its continued sponsorship of EverGreen Project, Cleveland, Ohio, and its GreenCare for Troops program.

The program, which celebrates its 15th year in 2021, provides free lawn and landscape maintenance services to military personnel with a deployed family member.

As the title sponsor of GreenCare for Troops, Nufarm will contribute $ 75,000 to the award-winning initiative. Nufarm’s five-year investment in the program is paying dividends in improving the health and well-being of military families, and a growing and sustained green space footprint.

Over the past year, GreenCare for Troops has added 365 new volunteers and achieved a volunteer-family match rate of over 70%. In addition to its sister program, SnowCare for Troops, GreenCare for Troops volunteers provide $ 2 million per year in lawn care and landscaping services to military families across the United States. United.

Since the program’s inception in 2006, the GreenCare for Troops initiative has seen more than 11,000 military families and over 6,000 green industry professionals register to receive or provide these much-needed services.

The contribution will be used to improve and expand the national program managed by the non-profit EverGreen Project.
