A central data standard for format independent content distribution
“We combine the extensive expertise of X-CAGO and PMG in the conversion and distribution of high-quality digital content,” said Ingo Kästner, Managing Director of PMG, of the acquisition of X-CAGO. “This has allowed us to create a centralized, higher-quality data standard for the publishing industry, suitable for all future formats. With this acquisition, PMG expands its portfolio of content and rights marketing services for publishers and strengthens its position as a content management provider for media houses and watch companies.

Centralized data conversion gives publishers additional growth from secondary marketing
“Converting print and online content into uniform, high-quality digital formats suitable for other digital products is far from easy, but it is an absolute necessity for publishers,” says Koos Hussem, CEO and Founder of X-CAGO.

“Publishers deliver their content through a wide variety of different channels, both internal and external. This makes data conversion complex, time consuming and prone to errors, which can negatively impact content quality and the business success of content marketing, in both B2C and B2B industries.

By combining their expertise, X-CAGO and PMG will give publishers access to proven technologies and structures to unlock new growth opportunities through expanded content marketing. The benefit for publishers is twofold: First, they benefit from fast, cost-effective and high-quality conversion of their content, which facilitates extensive secondary exploitation through digital channels. Second, they do not have to build and maintain expensive infrastructure themselves.

Koos Hussem and Ingo Kästner will jointly manage X-CAGO BV in the future.
