Sony Music Editing has focused on increasing royalty transparency for their signed talents over the past few years, but on September 27, the company unveiled new developments for its system. SMP GOAL, a dedicated royalty portal for real-time revenue update for signers, adds new features for the new company name Visual Rights + Media division (FKA Broadcast & Media Rights).
With the new updates, this division, which represents film and television studio clients, will now have several ways to access revenue data, including breaking it down by production, episode, song, revenue type. and territory. Customers will also have improved access to overall job recording, alerts to highlight missing details for productions or songs.
SCORE will also allow its users to enter more details about the production.
Universal Music Publishing Germany and Electric sensation Europe have teamed up to sign a Berlin-based songwriter and producer, Sonus030, to a worldwide publishing contract.
