Congratulations to the newlyweds ! Emily Ferguson and William Karlson got married in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday, July 23We Weekly can exclusively confirm.
“This is my dream wedding because I’m marrying the man of my dreams,” the Bachelor Nation alum, 29, said. We before his big day. “If it’s not him at the altar, I don’t want him!” Haha but seriously, he’s everything I ever dreamed of and more.
The couple married at Resorts World Las Vegas, which was also the site of the twin sister Haley Fergusonthe nuptials a month earlier, though they had very different experiences and settings.
“Jackie, Resorts World’s wedding coordinator, made sure the weddings all took place on different floors and sections of the hotel,” the bride revealed. “I’m getting married on a different rooftop than Haley and holding the ceremony in a different ballroom.”
Emily added: “We wanted our wedding to be more of a party while Haley wanted hers to be more intimate. We have different dishes served as well as our wedding decorations are more over the top while Haley chose a more classic, clean setup. and simple. I’m definitely more awesome than Haley!
The Las Vegas native’s ceremony opted for a larger guest list compared to her sister’s celebration. Haley, for her part, even served as matron of honor on Saturday.
“[It was] absolutely obvious [decision] that Haley would be my bridesmaid,” exclaimed Emily We. “We have such a close and special bond that there would never be anyone else I would rather have by my side on my wedding day.”
She added: “I’m so glad we got married on different days. We wanted our weddings to be all about us and our partners since everything else in our lives is still together. It’s nice to to be able to live our separate moments, because getting married is such an important moment in life.”
Emily and the professional hockey player, 29, started dating in November 2017 and got engaged in December 2020. “I SAID YES! I’m going to marry the man of my dreams ❤️💍”, the Bachelor alum wrote via Instagram at the time. “It’s a moment I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl and it’s more than I could have ever imagined because it really is with my perfect person. I can’t wait to grow old and laugh with you for always 12/11/2020.”
Karlsson, who plays for the Vegas Golden Knights, shared the same snap of the reality TV personality showing off her diamond sparkler, writing, “She said YES!! 😍😍.”
Alongside her twin sister, Haley, Emily competed for Ben Higgin‘heart on season 20 of The single person in 2016. The two sisters then appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of Bachelor in Paradiseand while Emily started seeing Karlsson in 2017, Haley returned to Mexico for season 6 of Beep in 2019.
Haley eventually left with her own professional hockey player — Oula Palve – and the couple tied the knot in June.
The sisters celebrated their respective loves together at a joint bridal shower in May after sharing a bachelorette party together in Las Vegas earlier in the year.
“We showered in Emily’s backyard where a couple of our bridesmaids helped set up a long table for the brunch hosted by Toast Society Cafe and Macey Bakes,” Haley said. We Weekly exclusively at the time.
“It was so special to have all of our closest family and friends to come shower us with so much love. It was emotional for both of us to see everyone come together to celebrate us,” he said. she added of the gathering, “We are both so excited to finally get married and be married women!! It’s so crazy how close we are and we both get very anxious! Wedding planning has been a mix of stress and excitement at the same time.
After the event, Emily shared an adorable video of her and Karlsson together, including a clip of them jumping around the “bouncing house” at the bridal shower.
